I was pretty productive in the group session and attending classes really helped.

Sarah from Summer Short-term 2025

Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?

Going to Iyashi Saito Village was satisfying because I got to hang out with my classmates and buy souveniors.

What were the most productive and interesting aspects of the program for you? The least interesting and productive?

I was pretty productive in the group session and attending classes really helped. I enjoyed that most of the students in my class were not from the same country and that there was somewhat of a language barrier if you didn't know the words in Japanese. I'm not sure what the least interesting and productive event was.

What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?

Group sessions, textbook, pair work, tests, students writing stuff on the board and the sensei going over the correct spelling

Any comments or tips for prospective/new KCP students?

Do all the homework, memorize the vocabulary, possibly look at the lesson for the following day ahead of time

Testimonials

The textbooks and drill practice helped me study, the tests helped me figure out what I needed to study more. I often did small group study sessions outside of class as well, and those helped all involved, I believe.
