Dishonna from Summer Short 2018

Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?

It was a lot of fun to go on field trips to see different areas of Japan.

What were your goals in attending the KCP program?

My goal in attending KCP program was to become more comfortable speaking Japanese.

Why did you select this program?

I selected this program, because they had a summer short program only taking Japanese classes. It was a perfect fit for my needs.

What were the most productive and interesting aspects of the program for you? The least interesting and productive?

The most productive and interesting aspects of the program were being in classes with people from all around the world. We could only use Japanese, and it was a lot of fun. I don't think there was anything that wasn't interesting or productive.

What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?

The most helpful material was the talking practice.

Were you pleased with the general living arrangements? Anything you especially liked? Any problems you experienced?

The dorm staff was really great, I just don't prefer dorm situations. But it was good for my situation.

Testimonials

I love that the school is in the heart of Tokyo and that all the classes are in Japanese. Since the classes are taught only in Japanese it pushes me to study more.
