The most productive aspect is talking to the senseis.

EDMUND from Winter 2023

Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?

Odawara, Kamakura, and any new sightseeing places. First experiences are fun and the activities we did at those places were fun. Odawara kamabuko was fun to make. Kamakura lunch time was great to check out all the stalls.

What were the most productive and interesting aspects of the program for you? The least interesting and productive?

The most productive aspect is talking to the Senseis. The special classes can be improved since most students did not retain much.

What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?

Games and pair work since they allowed me to ask plenty of questions.

Any comments or tips for prospective/new KCP students?

The moment you fall behind try to immediately catch up. It is too easy to let work pile up.

Testimonials

If you’re looking for an intensive course, then KCP is the place to go! Although it was hard work, it was also a lot of fun and I’m very pleased with my current language skill – and I’ve only just finished Level 1! Going out with the class for a final dinner really showed me how much we’d learnt as we had no problems in conveying our feelings even though our only common language was Japanese. I’d come back in a heartbeat.
