I liked all the extra small opportunities outside of main class – the random standardized testing (JPET, TTBJ), that gave me an idea of which JLPT level to aim for

I’m usually the type to learn quietly on my own, but things stuck better when I talked with students. Even embarrassing moments helped my improvement.

Having all the students start from the same level really helped me feel more comfortable with learning new material.

The teachers really try to support my growth or how to improve my weaknesses with additional work/supplemental books even though it will cause them additional work.

The teachers and KCP staff overall are there to help you. Make sure you research about the JLPT if you want to take it while you study.

The most interesting aspects would be the style of teaching by the teachers. After each level I feel very well rounded in each area of Japanese.

Also try to make friends not just with your home country so you’re forced to practice Japanese outside of class.

Overall, I feel that I made the perfect choice to attend KCP. The classes are challenging, and classmates passing the JLPT prove that the lessons and studying really pay off.

The conversation event with Japanese university students was great as we could practice with native speakers that are our age.

I really appreciate the emphasis on conversational skills, with listening and speaking activities being particularly challenging and engaging.
