I went to the speech contest and was amazed on how classes bonded with each other to make sure everyone did their part.

Alexander from Summer 2016

I found that group conversation was really helpful because it not only showed my weaknesses but also gave me an opportunity to improve my conversation.

KCP has a very good staff, the teachers were very patient and very skilled at teaching.

Tyrone from Summer Short 2016

I loved the dorm experience! Due to the fact that I was living with other people who are from where I am from. IT made it far easier to transition into Japan, because the dorm felt like a home away from home.

The textbook materials provided by KCP were very helpful and I also enjoyed the way Kanji was taught in the classroom.

Prepare to learn a lot but also have a lot of fun. Don’t be afraid to reach out to support staff at KCP because all the staff were super friendly and helpful.

The class as a whole moved very quickly thus each student was always involved.

Mario from Summer Short 2016

The group conversation practice allowed for students to get to know one another regardless of the fact that they did not speak the same language besides Japanese.

To me, the most interesting and productive aspect were the people. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Tameka from Summer Short 2016

Even though I struggled a lot, the teachers always seemed to have an unlimited amount of patience for me and would walk me through everything. I also really enjoyed my fellow students, and probably enjoyed spending time more with people from different countries than the ones from America. I hope to have made life long friends.

The most productive was the amount of extra effort the teachers were willing to go for the students who wanted to do extra assignments.

Jordan from Summer Short 2016

I was the most satisfied with the school field trip to Yamanashi Prefecture. The scenery was beautiful and the peaches were delicious. Also, it was one of the few times I was able to go explore Japan since I had so much homework.

I overall encourage it. It's an eye-opening, albeit intense, experience that provided me with a lot of insight into the Japanese habits and way of life.

Stefan from Summer Short 2016

The most productive & interesting: in class time was always fast-paced and interesting thanks to my instructors Okada sensei, Sato sensei, and Tanaka sensei.

Testimonials

I’d say that the two weeks we got as Summer Short Term students before starting the actual Summer Term with the international students helped a lot. It prepared me for the intensity and structure of the program. I’d say the structure of the program and every day classes were very helpful in advancing my Japanese skills. Switching from some review and practice with my peers, to dictation, to kanji, etc, was engaging. I just think the intensity and structure of the program was ideal, at least for me.
