Because it covers all of the basic foundations of learning how to use Japanese in everyday life.

I loved the tea ceremony very much. I don’t think I would have been able to learn about a tea ceremony like that otherwise. I very much enjoyed it.

The most productive and interesting aspects are of course the standard classes, English support class, and as far as cultural classes go the Japanese psychology cultural course.

Overall I think the whole program was very good and am looking forward to continuing.

Everything, just everything!

I enjoyed our day trip to Yamanashi prefecture the most because we got to do so many new things in just the one day. It was a good way to get to know my new classes as well.

Besides building skills through class and homework, the cultural excursions were very enriching.

The worksheets that were given out for homework and during Kato-sensei’s English Support was the most helpful – they helped me reinforce my learning.

Going to the temple to practice meditation

I enjoyed the Yamanashi Bus Trip because it provided opportunities to practice regular conversation with the teachers and staff who accompanied us, something which is harder to do during a regular school day. Things such as the peach eating and zazen practice also aren’t things one would usually do on a personal sightseeing trip.
